TASSEL Cambodia
Teaching and Sharing Skills to Enrich Lives
TASSEL Inc. is a 501(c)(3) charity founded in 2012 by Joji Tatsugi, a Kardia church member. TASSEL serves the poor in rural Cambodia by providing free English education, food and medical aid, emotional care and Bible study. TASSEL currently has almost 4,000 students,
age 8 through 20, in eight villages who typically study and receive care for 10 years.
TASSEL also provides food aid to over 5,000 impoverished families and operates eight Senior Centers where 280 elderly suffering from severe food shortages and war-related PTSD are
cared for.
Kardia has been a financial supporter of TASSEL since its inception. Kardia members also actively volunteer as English and Bible teachers remotely and in-person (i.e. by travelling to Cambodia in the summer).
